April 7, 2003 Mr. Hutt Bush Dear Hutt, I was recently thinking about where I am today in my career and how I got here. In reflecting upon this situation, I realized I needed to thank you for the "tools" you have gifted me. In 1997, I was at a mid-point in my career, already having accomplished a great deal as a sales executive. However, I was interested in obtain new executive skills and energizing my approach to my career and my life. It was at this point that I was introduced to you Coaching for Results program and it has enriched my life. Six years later, I am a co-founder of an internet company whose client list includes some of the largest Fortune 500 companies in America. It was with your help and guidance that I have survived this entrepreneurial rollercoaster ride. You principles and tools have guided me and continue to provide insight for the large and small choices I make daily. In addition, your holistic approach (to my career) has improved the quality of my life, changed how I approached personal and business issues as well as provided me a roadmap that has kept me focused on the results we agreed upon back in 1997. To be honest, we both know that I am not the most organized individual, nor would I call myself the most driven to immediately achieve my goals, but as you came to understand these facets, you helped me see these issues as strengths, not liabilities. Your whole approach has given me the freedom to engage myself in an entirely fresh manner - one that has delivered the results that has brought me here in the first place. If I can say one thing it is this: Investing in you Coaching for Results program has been the most self-indulgent thing I have ever done and yet, the smartest investment I have ever made.
